The Penteveral is both an arcane institution and a physical school or workplace in Dol-Makjar. Murray Mag’Nesson works there, Occtis remembers studying references to the Stone of Nightsong there, and Davrasi Gaunt is not permitted inside. Thjazi’s final instructions urgently tell Halandil to help the Penteveral, referring to it as “her.”
Its precise district and architecture are not revealed in Episode 1.

The institution remains active and access-controlled; the danger implied by Thjazi’s warning is unresolved.
Immediately before his death, Thjazi urgently orders Halandil to help Murray and the Penteveral, without explaining the danger or task.
Murray later confirms that she works at the Penteveral and that Davrasi is not permitted inside, but no one discusses Thjazi’s warning.
