Rulius Mercanaud is one of the twin operators of the Mercanaud Couturier. Beneath the manners, wigs and ceremonial dress, Tyranny recognises that he has no soul and that illusory magic must recreate the reflected light in his eyes. He accepts Tyranny’s false order and helps release Teor before the planned procedure is completed.
