Introduction

After the battle at the Guard Tower, Vaelus asks to see the Crow Keepers’ “gibbet” list. Gavrey consults his own small ledger, then removes a similar book from the dead guildmaster Solomon and throws it to her. The ledger records people whose debts or conduct have placed them beneath even the guild’s standards and who are not expected to survive the next new moon.
