Casimir’s Debt Settlement and Flight
Gavrey recounts that Casimir returned with new wealth, equipment and a Gormalay deed, cleared his Crow Keeper debt, then pursued Cyd after Cyd seized the deed and fled.
Overview
After the battle at the Guard Tower, Gavrey reconstructs Casimir’s final known movements. Casimir had been marked for death over an unpaid Crow Keeper debt after secretly taking valuables from smuggling compartments he built into wagons. He then returned with new gear, enough gold to settle the debt in full and a deed to a stronghouse in Gormalay. Cyd arrived demanding to know what had happened to a wagon, seized the deed and ran. Casimir and a small crew loyal to him pursued Cyd. The testimony creates a strong lead toward Gormalay but does not independently prove how Casimir acquired the money, whether he possessed the Stone of Nightsong or whether he participated in the hideout attack.
Evidence & Findings
Gavrey says Casimir built concealed compartments for Underwallen & Sisters and used knowledge of his own work to steal from smugglers.
The Crow Keepers placed Casimir on their gibbet list after he failed to report his private profits to Solomon.
Casimir returned to the Guard Tower with new equipment and enough gold to clear the entire debt.

Casimir and four or five Crow Keepers personally loyal to him pursued Cyd.

How Was Thjazi’s Rescue Sabotaged?
Who compromised the rescue, what did Azune detect on Thjazi, and is Cyd’s disappearance part of the same sabotage?
The immediate failure is known: Thimble was attacked before delivering the genuine glyph, while a different magical signature was placed on Thjazi.
Gavrey’s account and Thimble’s recollection make Casimir a stronger suspect, but do not connect him directly to the false glyph.
Where Is Cyd Pridesire?
What prevented Cyd from reaching the rescue, and where is he now?
Cyd was responsible for positioning the rescue wagon but never appeared, and neither Teor nor Azune knows where he is.
Gavrey supplies a concrete last-known action and a northward investigative lead.
Who Attacked Thimble’s Hideout?
Who ordered the attack, who wore the fine boots, and how did the attackers learn the hideout and timing?
Seven masked attackers struck at the exact time Thimble was preparing the rescue glyph, removed their dead and stole magical objects.
Gavrey separates Casimir’s loyal followers from the wider guild and describes new resources appearing immediately after the attack.
Who Took the Stone of Nightsong—and Why?
Who stole the Stone from Thimble’s hideout, where is it now and why was this funerary relic targeted?
The Stone was removed from the hideout during the attack. Its purpose is now known, but its current holder and the motive for taking it are not.
The party links Casimir’s new resources to the stolen property as a working theory, not a confirmed sale.
Where Is Casimir—and Did He Betray the Rescue?
Where is Casimir, and did he knowingly help sabotage Thjazi’s rescue?
Casimir supplied the rescue wagon but never appears, becomes a suspected insider and is the subject of Thimble’s dangerous visit to the Crow Keepers.
Gavrey provides the strongest account yet of Casimir’s status immediately after the hideout attack.
