Actions

Light Crossbow

Ranged Attack Roll: +3, range 80/320 ft.

Hit: 5 (1d8 + 1) piercing damage.

The bandit doesn't want a fair fight — that's the first thing to understand. The crossbow comes out when there's distance to exploit, a bolt loosed from the treeline or a rooftop before the target even knows anyone is there. It's not elegant. It doesn't need to be. A bolt through the shoulder stops most people from running, and stopping people from running is the whole point.
Scimitar

Melee Attack Roll: +3, reach 5 ft.

Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) slashing damage.

When the distance closes and the crossbow becomes a liability, the scimitar comes out — a curved, well-worn blade that's seen more use than its owner would probably like to admit. The bandit swings with the practiced economy of someone who has done this enough times to know that flashy technique gets you killed. Quick, direct, and just precise enough to find the gaps in whatever the target is wearing.
