The Ankheg can burrow through solid rock and leaves a 10-foot-diameter tunnel in its wake.

The Ankheg carves through earth and rock with ease, creating a network of hunting tunnels beneath the surface—each passage a potential ambush point.

Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) Slashing damage plus 3 (1d6) Acid damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it has the Grappled condition (escape DC 13).

Massive mandibles snap shut like a bear trap, serrated edges slicing deep as acidic saliva burns exposed flesh. The ankheg's jaws lock around its victim, dragging them toward the tunnel entrance.

Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 12, each creature in a 30-foot-long, 5-foot-wide Line.

Failure: 14 (4d6) acid damage.

Success: Half damage.

The Ankheg's abdomen contracts violently as it expels a high-pressure stream of bubbling green acid that hisses and smokes where it strikes, eating through metal and flesh alike.
